Service Of Light (2006)
As part of the preparation for Confirmation, a Service of Light was held in Marian School. Eight girls will make their confirmation in March along with some of the boys from St Joseph's School.

Fund Raising Events in Marian School (2005)
Gourmet Dinner week, brought "celebrity chefs" to Marian School. 732 Euro was raised in aid of the earthquake victims in South Asia.
Jersey Day, with a strong support for the Dubs. 80 Euro was raised and sent to Goal.
Young Social Innovators - May 2005 (2005)
"Deaf Proud" won 2nd place ahead of 2000 other students in this competition organised by FETAC.

Some senior classes went to the Helix Theatre to see "Midnight" by Jacqueline Wilson.
Some junior classes joined up with the boys from St Joseph's to see "Clown", a unique theatre experience, based on Quentin Blake's book.

Writers In Residence Scheme (2005)
Two Primary classes were involved in the Writers in School Scheme. Over eight sessions, an author of children's books worked with the pupils and teachers in the writing of their own drama. Sixteen other schools, Primary and Post-Primary, from all over Ireland, took part in the scheme, writing stories, poetry and drama, all on the subject of child labour.
A gathering of the students was held in the Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise, where they shared the fruits of their creativity. Our pupils performed an excerpt from their play and received a standing ovation fron the audience.
