Dissolving Boundaries (December-2008)
St. Mary's has been linked with St. Cecilia's College , Derry for this project.
It was our turn to host St. Cecilia's College. The students, together with teachers Jacinta and Joe, travelled down by train to meet us and let us guide them around some of our beautiful city. We began with lunch in McCafé, and went from there to the Guinness Storehouse. Then we went to view the enormous Christmas Tree on O'Connell Street, and also The Spire. See us leaning against it and feeling as though it is going to topple onto us. Later that night, we ate in the Hard Rock Café, and then showed them the Hal'penny Bridge. We had a fabulous time, really enjoyed meeting the girls from Northern Ireland, and look forward to our visit to them soon. Thanks to our teachers Ms. Donovan and Ms Walshe for organising it.
