On the 18-01-2012 we went to the Bank of Ireland in Phibsboro to see what to do for setting up our school bank. When we went into the bank the Porter told us that we were having a tour around the bank.
We walked behind the cash desks, the place was very small. The bank had a new cash machine that people can lodge money in.
We saw where they put the money into the ATM, behind the machine; they put in €100,000 at a time. We saw the safe where they keep all the money. It has a time-lock and they have to wait until the time-lock releases to open it. It always takes two people to open the safe-each person has some of the code. We went upstairs where all the staff was having a meeting in the kitchen.
Then they give us a pack; it had a ruler, pen, and pencil, highlighter, and Bank of Ireland paper.
We all had a great time that day! G Mc G
