 About our mural
This mural was painted in 1996 in commemoration of St Mary's 150th anniversary. It traces the beginnings from the first two pupils, Agnes Beedam and Mary Anne Dougherty
The Dominican Sisters' huge contribution to the education of deaf people is also represented.
St Marys girls, as seen in their self-portraits on the mural, show the spirit, confidence and strength that all young people need to face the challanges of today's world.
